October 11th is the Italian American Heritage Parade and Fleet Week Airshow. These are great events, but it makes it almost impossible for folks to get into North Beach. Because of this, we are not meeting on Sunday afternoon. It’s a great opportunity to spend time with your neighbors hanging on a rooftop.
Make plans to join us on Sunday, November 1st at 4:30pm as we gather with our sister churches for an evening of worship and prayer. Petra will host at DPC in the Mission.
Here’s what’s coming up for the Porch in 2026:
This year we’re highlighting prayer and worship. Our practices will focus on praying through the Psalms as one of our four times of daily prayer (here is a PDF of the Praying the Psalms schedule), and together we’ll be doing more gatherings throughout the year that center worship and prayer.
At our Sunday Gatherings, we’re finishing our series in Acts this spring with part four picking up in chapter 21.
After Easter, we’ll be jumping into a new sermon series on the book of Genesis.
We’re continuing our regular schedule of having dinner, study, and discussion together on Wednesday nights starting on January 7th. This year we’ll be studying the letter to the Philippians. Our three ring binders with the PABST journals are available on the library table, and blank Bible study sheets are there as well as on the website if you want a digital copy or to print them out yourself. Check page six in the Sunday booklet for the most up-to-date Wednesday schedule.
