HOLY WEEK SCHEDULE

PALM SUNDAY | March 29 | 4:00 pm | Porch

We will have our regular Sunday gathering on Union Street.

WEDNESDAY, April 1

We will not meet for Wednesday night Missional Family Dinner this week.

MAUNDY THURSDAY | April 2 | 6:30 PM | Porch

We are hosting the folks from our sister churches in the city for an evening centered around a meal, remembering the Last Supper that Jesus shared with his disciples. Together, we’ll reflect on the meaning of the table, Christ’s love, and His command to serve one another. We’ll be downstairs in the multipurpose room at the SFEFC building on Union Street.

GOOD FRIDAY | April 3 | 7:00 pm | Vietnamese Alliance Community Church SF

Four churches (Cross & Crown, Petra, Porch, and VACC) will be together for a gathering at a new location between Potrero Hill and the Mission district, just south of SF General Hospital. This liturgy will focus on the last seven sayings of Jesus from the cross.

Saturday EASTER Vigil | April 4 | Late Evening | Cross & Crown

This year, Cross & Crown will be holding an Easter Vigil for the first time. The Easter Vigil is a historic Christian service held the night before Easter that typically includes prayer, scripture readings that trace God’s saving work, and reflection on Christ’s victory over sin and death. More details on time and location will be shared as plans are finalized.

For Easter, we will be back on Union Street in North Beach to celebrate the pinnacle of the church calendar year—the day our Lord was resurrected and defeated death!

2026

Here’s what’s coming up for the Porch in 2026:

This year we’re focusing on prayer and worship. Our practices will focus on praying through the Psalms as one of our four times of daily prayer (here is a PDF of the Praying the Psalms schedule), and together we’ll be doing more gatherings throughout the year that center worship and prayer.

At our Sunday Gatherings, we’re finishing our series in Acts this spring with part four picking up in chapter 21.

After Easter, we’ll be jumping into a new sermon series on the book of Genesis.

We’re continuing our regular schedule of having dinner, study, and discussion together on Wednesday nights starting on January 7th. This year we’ll be studying the letter to the Philippians. Our three ring binders with the PABST journals are available on the library table, and blank Bible study sheets are there as well as on the website if you want a digital copy or to print them out yourself.
